Two-Spirit Peoples of Saskatchewan
Mission: “We the Two Spirit Peoples of Saskatchewan and surrounding regions recognize the history of who we are and the role we play in the Healing Process that is sweeping across this land. The need for us to embrace Ourselves, our Spouses, our Families, our Friends and Supporters, is all the more evident as we continue to grow in numbers. All the while the knowledge continues to be granted to us…We intend to develop, share and celebrate along with this group and many others like us through various gatherings we intend to organize in the coming months.”
Sanctuary Saskatoon was established in December 2011, though as had a number of different names in the past (including GLBTQ Christian Sharing Circle, Avenue Community Centre Christian Sharing Circle, and Queer and Christian without Contradiction Sharing Circle).
Mission: As expressed in our name, Sanctuary, we believe that our first purpose is to provide a community of refuge, support, encouragement, and solidarity. The intention of this community is to welcome all people who find themselves in a tension between their faith communities and their sexual identity.
Secular Organizations for Sobriety Group of Saskatoon (SOSGS) is a support group for people with addictions in Saskatoon. Secular Organizations for Sobriety/Save Our Selves (SOS) is an alternative to many other faith-based or spiritual 12-step programs. SOS is a sobriety-focused, self-empowering approach to addiction recovery.
