Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I would be delighted to create the ceremony of your dreams. I celebrate the diversity of couples from many countries and backgrounds, and am an ally for same-sex, trans, bisexual, and queer couples. All ceremonies are designed to be inclusive of everyone. I became a marriage commissioner when marriage equality became legalized in Saskatchewan, as I wanted couples to be married by allies. I continue to lobby eHealth to allow people to use X or leave blank the space for "sex", to update their paperwork to remove gender references such as “bride and groom”, and to allow chosen names rather than the ones on the birth certificate. I ask couples their pronouns and share mine and otherwise challenge myself to be inclusive and affirming.
