Melody Wood is a nēhiyaw napēkan from waskicosihk (Little Pine First Nation). She was raised in small town Saskatchewan, took post-secondary and started her career in Regina before moving to Saskatoon. She is the Senior Programs Officer at the Hitgwin! Qaumata Miyopimâtisiwin Foundation in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Melody is Two Spirit and has three kids, one of whom is non-binary, and it is important to her in any work that she is involved in to bring an Indigenous Two Spirit lens and worldview.
